Children of Divorce Wellness Group
Separation and divorce are painful life events. The stress not only impacts the adults who make the decision, but their children, too, are unavoidably affected. Children often have a challenging time processing the loss, and frequently experience distressing emotions such as sadness, anxiety, anger, guilt, confusion, loyalty conflicts, and yearning for the absent parent. Short- and long-term effects are not inevitable and can be mitigated with appropriate support. Children of Divorce Intervention Program (CODIP), created by Dr. Pedro-Carroll, is empirically supported and designed to promote wellness and prevent childhood difficulties that can occur due to a divorce. MomsWell
MomsWell Virtual Support Groups are moderated by a team of postpartum advocates who have come together to help YOU – the new or expecting mom who may be currently suffering from a perinatal mood disorder, like depression or anxiety; or a mom who is simply scared and stressed in times like these. Our peer-to-peer virtual support groups bring moms together on a Zoom call with our leaders – most of whom are survivors of postpartum depression or anxiety themselves.
